Devilfish: weird, tenacious, improbable. It’s what we are and what we’re looking for.
We value good writing and good stories above all else. Send in your science fiction, your fantasy, your horror, and even your mainstream fiction stories (as long as they are well written). Your stories and the characters they contain should be your own. We want the new, the undiscovered, so no previously published works, please.
In exchange for first publication rights, we offer ten dollars (USD) per poem, flash piece, and short story. All payments will be made through PayPal.
Simultaneous submissions are fine, but please let us know as soon as possible if a story is accepted elsewhere. We do not accept previously published work, this includes your personal website. If you don’t hear back from us after three months, please feel free to drop us an email.

When you say “add a line between the paragraphs,” do mean a blank line or an actual thin black line? I ask because you also say not to manually space paragraphs.
There is a setting in Word and most word processors that will add an extra line between paragraphs. Its in the line and paragraph settings.
Okay, thanks. That’s how I usually format things. – Julie
