(We are reminded that no-where is also now-here)
Cranes and
Turtles, a
Red moon
As sign;
Paintings all
In white.
We drift
Through each
Other’s stories
Like visitants,
Superimposed
And glowing
Faintly blue:
Heroines,
Victims,
Villains
Newly
Generous.
Wax-lights
Curving down
Hillsides open
Darkness,
Welcome
The dead.
Food is
Taken
Slowly, in
Gratitude.
We are
Meant to
Breathe
Deeply,
Relinquish
Ego and
Renounce
Struggle; still
We are
Wakeful in
Snow huts on
Unlucky nights
