Day Nine: Black Holes by Vrinda Pendred

Many times an important element in horror is the setting. Many stories would be less terrifying if only there was help nearby, so places far away from home and civilization are great for frightening people. The only place as frightening as deep space is under water. No where else are you so frighteningly far from safety. Vrinda Pendred capitalizes on that fear we all have of the ocean, even if we only go in a few feet. We might not be as alone as we thought.
